The "perfectly posed" model shot is dead
La fotografía de moda
"perfectamente posada" ha muerto.
Un solo fotograma no puede contener el caos, las risas o el pulso real de
una sala de la misma forma que lo hace un díptico. Estoy aburrido de la
fórmula estándar de la moda: modelos inmóviles, esperando el clic del
obturador, dándome la misma mirada que he visto mil veces antes. Necesito algo
más.
Al usar dípticos, dejo de capturar "retratos" y empiezo a
capturar energía. Se trata del milisegundo que ocurre entre la pose y la
carcajada. Se trata de un movimiento que no cabe en un solo cuadro.
Con las increíbles Bere y Daly, estos fotogramas en blanco y negro
no nacieron para ser estáticos. Están hechos para moverse.
¿Por qué el díptico?
- Movimiento: Dos fotogramas crean
un arco narrativo que una sola toma pierde.
- Energía: Capta la vibración del
evento, no solo su apariencia.
- Autenticidad: Rompe el
"muro" del modelo, atrapando los momentos donde la personalidad
finalmente traspasa la lente.
Olvidad la era de "posar y esperar". Es aburrida y está muerta.

The "perfectly
posed" model shot is dead.
A single frame can’t
contain the chaos, the laughter, or the actual pulse of a room the same way as
a diptych. I’m bored of the standard fashion formula—models standing still,
waiting for the shutter to click, giving me the same look I’ve seen a thousand
times before. I need more.
By using diptychs, I
stop capturing "portraits" and start capturing energy. It’s
about the split second between the pose and the laugh. It’s about movement that
doesn't fit in a single box.
Featuring the incredible Bere
and Daly, these black and white frames aren't meant to be static. They’re
meant to move.
Why the diptych?
- Movement: Two frames create a
narrative arc that a single shot misses.
