photography contest. This recognition was awarded for his energetic and
immersive image, "Wedding party," taken during an
international celebration in Madrid.
The
award-winning photograph captures a pivotal moment of collective joy: a
champagne toast led by the groom.
Breaking
away from traditional, static wedding photography, Olive utilised a fast ultra-wide-angle
lens to capture the scene. This technical choice allowed him to frame the
entire dinner table in a single shot, showcasing the groom and all the guests
raising their glasses simultaneously. The perspective draws the viewer directly
into the celebration, emphasising the unity of the party.
"Receiving
the 'Expert Choice' award is a fantastic recognition of my documentary approach
to weddings," said Edward Olive. "For this shot, I didn't want
just a close-up of the groom; I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the entire
room. The ultra-wide lens allowed me to freeze that split-second of energy
where everyone is connected."

Lifestyle 2025. Este reconocimiento fue otorgado por su enérgica e inmersiva
imagen, "Wedding party", tomada durante una celebración internacional
en Madrid.
La fotografía ganadora captura un momento crucial de alegría colectiva: un
brindis con champán dirigido por el novio. Rompiendo con la fotografía de bodas
tradicional y estática, Olive utilizó un objetivo ultra gran angular luminoso
para capturar la escena. Esta elección técnica le permitió encuadrar toda la
mesa de la cena en una sola toma, mostrando al novio y a todos los invitados
